All our Scout leaders are volunteers who are dedicated to seeing young children develop social and life skills, independence and a love for the outdoors. The group is led by Colonel and Rainbow.

Name: Steve Dyte
Leader Name: Colonel
Scouting Experience: Many years ago I was a Cub in the Staplegrove Scout Group in Taunton, but never made it up into Scouts. I have fond memories of all the outdoor activities, especially a camp that was interrupted by a thunderstorm one night which flooded our tent, and meant we had to abandon the site at 3am! I have been involved in 18th Maidenhead since Sep 2015 when we started the Scout section with just 3 Scouts.

What I like most about scouting: My favourite thing about Scouting are the opportunities that come along, for the children and the adults. Whether it's Dragon Boat racing, Night Hikes or climbing Snowdon, there is always a chance to try something new.

The 18th Maidenhead Scout group has recently moved to Friday evenings at 7:00 - 9.00pm. If you are interested in joining us or finding out more, please go to the contacts page.

The Scouts Group is still active during the current lockdown. We are utilising online resources to keep our Scouts engaged with scouting. We are also looking to add to our leadership team. Name: Merri Richards
Leader Name: Rainbow (Assistant Beaver and Scout Leader)
Scouting Experience: I have been in scouting all my life, with my father once the cub leader and then joining the group as a beaver. Although I left after cubs, I came back as a Young Leader a year later and have been with the group since.

What I like most about scouting: what I find I like the most about scouting is the community and that you get the chance to meet new people.
